MMB – Take the Challenge Seriously
Good morning everyone,
I hope you all had an excellent weekend and enjoyed the warm sunshine! Great job to everyone who was able to make it out to classes this past week! Now that it’s fall and there’s more of a regular schedule, it’s been wonderful reconnecting with old familiar faces in class! Now the trick is to keep it going right?! Remember, commitment + consistency=change!
This past Saturday was the kick off of the Fall Fitness Challenge. For those of you who were able to make it out – did you feel challenged?! Fitness tests are fun right?! LOL! And of course they were followed by a team challenge with cardio, core, and resistance skills to work the whole body! Woo hoo! Burning up hundreds of calories and shedding fat is what it’s all about!
Seriously though, fitness tests are very important because they measure where we are and tell us where we need to go. This is vital information so we know what we need to work on.
For the next five Saturdays, the first half of Boot Camp will be dedicated to repeating the fitness tests and the second half will be a mixture of individual and team competitions that are either rep or timed base. As usual, I’ll continue to mix things up for you guys and keep you entertained and guessing! 🙂
October 22nd is the last day of the Challenge where I’ll measure everyone again and tally up all of your scores for your fitness tests so you can see how you did! Trust me, it’s so much fun to put the work in and actually see on paper your improvement in overall strength, endurance, and stamina! It will happen for you I promise!
So, if you are reading this blog and you weren’t able to make it out to the Challenge on Saturday, never fear! It’s not too late. Contact me this week and make it out to class this Tuesday night and I can still weigh you and take measurements.
Ideally, Challenges are designed for you to commit to coming to class for the next six weeks so you’ll have consistency with greater results. Obviously, life happens and Saturdays are busy, so if you aren’t able to make it to class, try your best to get some of the drills done on your own and then come to the following Saturday’s class. Cool?!
- Next Running Boot Camp is Sunday, October 9th at 7am! Get a 5K distance in along with strength and core training! Class meets at Jen’s house.
