MMB-Spring is in the Air

Good morning everyone,

Happy Monday to you! I hope you are all feeling great walking into your Monday! Last week was an excellent week for classes with lots of great energy and effort from everyone who was able to make it out! Let’s keep the momentum going with losing weight and reducing inches!

For the Winter Challenge, I had extended the deadline for the weigh in and wanted to let you know that Bernadette Calvo and Dave Thompson both lost weight, inches, and reduced fat! I wanted to highlight Bernadette because she lost 4.5 lbs, 2% points of body fat, and 3 inches off her hips! Can you sense transformation in the air?! Woo hoo!

I am so thrilled and pleased to tell you that every person who weighed in at the beginning and end of the challenge lost weight, inches, and reduced body fat! I feel like a proud mama! Way to go guys, now let’s keep it going!


1)Running Bootcamp is this Sunday, March 5th at 11am, Jen’s house. For beginners through intermediates.

2)St Patrick’s Day Bootcamp is Saturday, March 18th! Costume Contest! Wear your Irish green fitness style and let’s see who the most spirited boot camper is! 7am and 8 05am classes. 

3) March Contest-Liquid Green=Liquid Life! For the month of March, log all of your green juice and smoothies that you consume. 8 0z = 1 serving Make the leprechauns happy and drink Irish green all month! Winner with most servings will win a $60 card!

4)No Saturday Boot Camps on 3/25 or 4/22


Thought for the week: Spring is in the air!

Can you feel it? Can you smell it? I don’t know about you, but the huge dose of sunshine this past weekend lifted my spirits and made me want to sing and dance! Ok, maybe I didn’t sing and dance, but I did run both Saturday and Sunday and it felt amazing!

Because of the lighter and slightly warmer days, this is the time of year I become energized to pick up my running again and I’m always reminded of how much I love running once I get going with consistency.  There’s nothing like that feeling of a really great session of exertion where you’ve really pushed yourself and proven that you could get out there and do it. Of course, this could apply to any sport, biking, swimming, hiking, etc. 

The point is, now is the time to get outside and move! I know many of you parents out there have kids that are in spring sports. That’s great news for you! Wow, you have the chance to support your kid by watching them and you can get your workout in too?!! Do you think I’m kidding? It’s true! Get your work out clothes on and get some drills done while your kid is practicing. Think circuit training with squats, lunges, push-ups, burpees, jacks, jump ropes, etc Have resistance tubing? Even better! 

Listen, we are all busy people needing to cram 25 hours of stuff to do into 24 hours…….which is impossible by the way, but we still try! We have to work smart with our time and sometimes this means multitasking like exercising while watching something. Think tv? Kids’ sports? Power walking during your work lunch hour.

I encourage all of you to find ways to get outside and allow the slightly longer and brighter days to uplift your spirits and get you moving to energize your body and mind! Remember, summertime bodies are made in February!  Let’s feel great together starting today!
