MMB – President’s Day

Hi Everyone,

Happy Monday and President’s Day to you!  I hope you are finding some time this weekend to do some fun things with your family and enjoy a Monday off!  My family and I just came back from the Arnold area and I couldn’t believe how much rain was coming down hard for hours.  We went sledding by Bear Valley on Sunday and the snow was thick at the top of the mountain with snow walls 8 feet high!   But, below 6,000 feet it was pouring rain non-stop.  As we were coming home, there were spontaneous streams flowing out of the mountain everywhere, along with swollen streams rising along the roads.  It was kinda scary and I’m happy to be safely at home.  If you are traveling out there today, drive safely and slowly! 

This past Saturday was the last Winter Fitness Challenge and I want to thank everyone who has been so faithful in making it out these past six weeks and working it hard!  I hope you enjoyed the format of of combining fitness and taking part in honoring each of the branches of our military with repeating the creeds, cadences, and crushing it boot camp style!  

Because the weigh in fell on a holiday weekend, I know there are a few people who would still like to be weighed who weren’t able to make it to Boot Camp on Saturday.  If this is you, please let me know and I’d be happy to weigh you on Tuesday night for class so you can find out how well you did over the past six weeks. 

In reviewing the weigh in statistics from the boot campers who made it out on Saturday, every person who weighed in lost some weight, inches, and reduced body fat! Nice work everyone!  Lynnda Philbrook, Wendy McHugh, and Erin Campbell came in as the top three reducers.  I know that each of these ladies have been very focused and disciplined over the past six weeks with eating clean, moving with intensity, and staying committed to their health.  Well done ladies! 

Announcements and Reminders:

  • Boot Camp will resume regular format for both 30 and 60 minute classes.  This means it’s still hard, you’ll still pour out sweat, build muscle, shed fat, burn hundreds of calories and have an awesome time with fitness friends! 
  • The next Running Boot Camp is Sunday, March 5th at 11am at Jen’s house.  Class is designed for beginner runners through intermediate.  Class is an hour long.
  • St. Patrick’s Day Boot Camp is Saturday, March 18th both at 7am and 8:05am.  Wear your Irish green and let’s have some fun St. Patrick’s Day fitness style!
  • For Cardio Fusion this Tuesday, there will only be 1 class from 6pm to 7pm due to a mandatory meeting I have at 7:30pm.  This class will be circuit style with stations and cardio and will accommodate both 30 minute and 60 minute clients.  If you are a 30 minute client, you can either come at 6pm or 6:30pm and I’ll warm you up and plug you into to an awesome circuit style training to work your entire body.
