MMB- It’s Spring Break!

Good morning everyone!  I know many of you are on spring break this week and will be away celebrating with your families and taking trips.  Make the most of the time you have and make sure you get outside and move together!  Whether it’s running, hiking, skiing, mountain biking, or swimming, make sure you do something to move your body.  Don’t forget your core work and get those planks, floor bridges, v-sits, and push-ups in!

This past Saturday was the end of the March Greens Contest.  While not everyone turned in a food log, I know from speaking with many of you and hearing your feedback that the contest was helpful because it made you more mindful of how many greens you were consuming. 

I want to applaud your efforts in trying to incorporate more greens and in being creative in how you eat them whether you blend them, juice them, eat them raw in salads, or roasted.  I know change is hard, so anything you can do to add in more greens and veggies into your diet will be a good thing for you and your family! 

So, who is the winner of the March Greens Contest and the biggest greenie?  The answer is……Christy Stevens!

Christy diligently logged 130 servings of greens every day in March, which averaged about 5 greens servings a day.  Congratulations Christy!

Honorable mention goes to Lynnda Philbrook who logged 197 servings.  Way to go Lynnda!

Another honorable mention goes out to Marcey and Cliff Donnelly, who have been on an intensive detox and cleanse program for the last couple of weeks.  They are working hard to live healthier and cleaner, so they can feel their best and it’s working!  You guys look amazing, so keep up the great job Donnelly’s! 

Announcements and Reminders:

  1.  Cardio Core at Jen’s Studio Tuesday.  I currently have (3) openings at 5:45pm and (2) openings at 6:55pm.  My 7:35pm class is currently full. 

 

  1. Cardio Fusion will be at Jen’s Studio Thursday, not at VBC.  Please let me know if you are interested in coming to class on Thursday.  Depending on the number of sign-ups, I can either teach 1 class and weave in both 30 minute and 60 minute clients, or teach two separate classes.  Please e-mail or text me and I’ll let you know by Thursday what the plan is! 

 

  1. 6 Week – Spring Fitness Challenge is Starting this Saturday, April 7th!  It’s time for another Challenge to shake things up and bring out our fitness best!  For this Challenge, I am incorporating both fitness tests and timed drills to challenge you to your max!  Saturday we’ll weigh in and measure and then again in six weeks to find out who the biggest reducers are!  This is a great time to reach out to a friend and invite them along to experience something different in fitness that will motivate and inspire them! 

 

  1. Next Running Boot Camp is Sunday, April 15th at 7am!  Experience a 5k distance combined with strength and core drills!  Class meets at Jen’s house and lasts about an hour.  Drop in cost is $15 or use a 60 minute prepaid card.  Please let me know if you’d like to sign up!
