MMB- How’s it going?

Good morning everyone,

Happy Tuesday to you!  My word press site was having problems yesterday, so I wasn’t able to get my blog out.  Today is a new day though and so far all is well in the technology arena!  Truth be told, sometimes it’s operator error!  Those of you who know me get this right? LOL!

So, I truly want to know how you guys are doing out there?  This has been an interesting summer for me as a trainer because I’ve noticed a higher level of distractions and a general feeling of “out of control” schedules for many of you.  During a typical summer, gym attendance shrinks because people are on vacations and are busier “doing” life with their families with schedules all over the place.  I totally get this, and as a trainer, I expect attendance to go down in the summer months. 

However, I really want to know how things are going for you guys because quite honestly, I’m worried about you!  There are many Jen Allan Fitness friends who haven’t been able to make it out to class in several weeks and I would love to know what issues you may be struggling with to get your work outs in? 

My calling and mission has always been to serve and inspire as many people as I can to embrace a life of healthy living through clean nutrition and motivated movement.  If you are feeling stuck right now and don’t know how to get started again, please reach out to me with a phone call, text, or e-mail so I can know how to best encourage you. 

We all go through times of doubt, fear, blue thoughts, and a general feeling of “why am I working so hard?”  It’s during those times that we need our community the most so that we can know we are not alone in our struggles.  Sometimes the very thing that we don’t want to do is the very thing we need to do.  A solid exertion physically with sweat flying and heart rate up can often times turn things around for us and snap us out of our blues or instill new inspiration to get moving again!  Truth is, everything is better in life when we are moving more. 

Or, perhaps you are in a mode of a summer schedule that’s all over the place without any regularity or consistency.  Times like these can be fun for sure!  However, have you noticed how “off track” we get?  It’s usually in the areas of sleep, exercise, and nutrition that take the biggest hits with staying up later, fewer work outs, and more summer fun foods that can pack on pounds quickly, especially during vacations.

So gang, I want you to know I am here for you guys and would love to hear from you and see how you are doing.  Please, please don’t be the person who thinks in your head, “Gosh, I haven’t seen or talked to Jen all summer and I feel guilty about it.  I’m behind in my work outs and am feeling like a slug.  I really don’t want her to see me like this.”  Well friend, if that’s you, let’s stomp that crap right out of your head! 

You will find me greeting you with open arms and acceptance right where you are planted.  Once we’ve acknowledged where you are, then we know where we need to go right?  Let me help you do that!

Reminders:

  1.  Next Running Boot Camp is Sunday, August 27th.  Either 7am or 11am depending on weather.
  2. Usual class schedule Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays!
  3. Personal training – I have a few openings in my early mornings and afternoons, so if you want to explore personal training with me, please let me know and we can discuss.
